The Latinx Advisory Committee was established to improve our reach within Connecticut’s increasingly growing Latinx communities. “Latinx” is used instead of Latino and Latina to promote gender inclusion.
The Latinx Advisory Committee is a partnership with local and statewide Latinx leaders, service providers, and advocates. This group of leaders help to guide and inform the development of short-term and long-term collaborations within Latinx communities, especially Spanish-speaking communities. The group recently collaborated with The Alliance on the creation and dissemination of our new “If It Doesn’t Feel Right, It May Not Be Right” materials and several public service announcements that were played on radio stations throughout Connecticut. For more information on this committee, contact Beth Hamilton, The Alliance Associate Director.Email Us
Corazón Lastimado: Healing the Wounded Heart is an art project that specifically highlights the voices of Latinx survivors of sexual violence. You can view a portion of our collection here. If you self-identify as Latina, Latino or Latinx survivor of sexual violence, please consider contributing to our collection.
