Eliminate the Civil Statute of Limitations for Sexual Abuse, Sexual Exploitation, or Sexual Harassment
Connecticut’s current civil statute of limitations does not give relief to Connecticut survivors of sexual abuse. These survivors cannot put closure on their sexual abuse. They cannot recoup the funds that they have spent for therapy, physical ailments, and other costs associated with sexual violence. Survivors pay while those who harmed them skirt accountability.
As we gear up for the 2021 legislative session, we’re working to change that. Join us by signing this petition.
