April was Sexual Assault Awareness Month, otherwise known as SAAM. During this month, people across the United States raised awareness about sexual violence, how to prevent it, and how to support those who are affected by it.
The National Sexual Violence Resource Center, or NSVRC, chooses a campaign theme each year as a guideline for discussions and activities to focus on. This year’s theme was: Prevention is Possible.
If you followed us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, you’ll notice we used the hashtags #PreventionIsPossible and #SAAM to share content related to Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
We thank our member centers across Connecticut for hosting events throughout the month. Click the link below to view them. We hope you were able to join us and we look forward to next year.
