What We Do

The Connecticut Alliance to End Sexual Violence (The Alliance) works to prevent and eliminate sexual violence in our state through education, legislation, advocacy, trauma-informed care, and a state-wide network of support for victims and survivors. Together, we are working to end sexual violence in Connecticut.

We believe that sexual violence is a preventable public health epidemic, we believe that we can make things better, and we know that we are stronger when we work together. Our work is possible because of a network of member centers and our impact is amplified through partnerships across the state.

Sexual violence can happen to anyone, so The Alliance is here for everyone. We believe survivors. Sexual violence doesn’t discriminate, so neither do we.

Amplify

We AMPLIFY the voices of survivors. We are a coalition that is both survivor-centered and survivor-led. We elevate the voices of victims and survivors and raise key issues in our communities.

Equip

Through training and technical assistance for our member centers, community education programs, and survivor services, we EQUIP our communities to prevent, eliminate and heal from sexual violence.
