A Time to Act

On January 15th, we will be hosting a conference that brings together campus communities and anti-sexual violence advocates in order to bolster our collective efforts to address and prevent sexual violence on Connecticut campuses. Workshops will cover topics such as the proposed changes to Title IX, the investigation and adjudication process, healthy sexuality as a means of prevention, self-care and supportive techniques, student engagement, and more.

This one-day conference will be held at UConn School of Law, located at 55 Elizabeth Street, Hartford, CT 06105. Check-in and registration begins promptly at 8am. The event ends at 4pm. Keynote speakers and workshop facilitators currently include:

  • Melanie Boyd
  • Alyssa Benedict
  • Lauren Donais
  • Mighty Fine
  • Sarah Gannon
  • Michelle Carroll
  • and more

This conference is open to the public. We encourage advocates, teachers and college employees to attend. Registration is required. Tickets are just $30 per person. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Advocates of The Alliance and members of CCCESV are able to register at no cost, and should contact Elise Delacruz for more information. We hope to see you there!
