The Consortium

CCCESV's Mission

The mission of the Connecticut College Consortium to End Sexual Violence (CCCESV) is to provide a forum to address the prevalence of sexual assault and other forms of violence on college and university campuses. The Consortium is a space to share information, strategies, and resources in order to strengthen and support each campus community’s work to end sexual violence. The Consortium is comprised of representatives from Connecticut colleges and universities, sexual assault crisis advocates, individuals from community-based services, and others who work to improve the response to and prevention of sexual violence in campus communities. The Consortium is coordinated by Connecticut Alliance to End Sexual Violence and operates with the support of an advisory group.

  • Benefits of Membership

    As a part of this collaboration, members not only have access to up-to-date trainings, information and trends pertaining to sexual violence on campuses, but they are also part of a statewide community of colleges and universities engaged in addressing and preventing sexual violence. Members have noted that the support and information gained from the Consortium helped them to make positive changes in their campus culture, update policies, and create awareness and prevention events. The Consortium also provides a multidisciplinary exchange among colleagues from multiple campuses and the opportunity for campus-based staff who are responsible for sexual violence programming and response services to connect with advocates from community-based sexual assault crisis programs.

    Annual CCCESV dues are $250. Dues help defer the administrative costs associated with providing trainings, coordinating meetings, and providing materials. Dues-paying members receive discounts on fees for statewide trainings and conferences provided by Connecticut Alliance to End Sexual Violence. Become a CCCESV Member
