Building Safe Spaces: Child Sexual Abuse Prevention and Response Training

Join us this Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month to learn best practices in the prevention of child sexual abuse and responding effectively to disclosures. This interactive training is open to everyone—community members, professionals, volunteers, interns, and staff—who are passionate about preventing child sexual abuse and supporting survivors.

During the session, you will:
*Gain an understanding of the prevalence of child sexual abuse, behaviors of those who harm
children, and barriers to disclosure.
* Discover the critical role adults play in prevention and how to foster a culture of safety.
* Learn practical tips for teaching children about bodily autonomy, consent, and personal
safety.
* Explore best practices for responding with care when children disclose abuse.
* Access resources tailored to different age groups
* Identify local organizations and services that provide support for survivors of sexual violence.

This training is an opportunity to build awareness, take meaningful action, and create safer environments for children. Whether you’re a parent, caregiver, educator, or someone simply committed to protecting kids, we encourage you to attend!
